Billie was a strong and courageous woman—authentic, outspoken, and unafraid to speak the truth. She stood her ground when something felt wrong and fiercely protected the people she loved. Her boldness in making tough decisions helped shape a better future for her family, leaving a legacy that will echo for generations.
Billie with her younger brother in the family home. Billie grew up in a home with alcoholism, domestic violence, and uncertainty. She married at 15 years old to leave home.
Billie with her daughter. She had her first child one week after turning 16 and left her husband soon after. Billie went on to have three additional children with her second husband. She was a protective mother who made sure her children were safe and had a better home life than she had experienced.

Billie at her eldest grandchild’s graduation. Although Billie dropped out of high school due to home life issues, all four of her children and 10 grandchildren graduated high school. Some continued to college and graduate school.
